Sea Isle City police are searching for three armed suspects who allegedly tied a victim to a chair before ransacking a property in the Jersey shore town late last week.

According to a Facebook post by the Sea Isle City Police Department, three suspects – described as unmasked black female and two additional masked suspects, believed to be black males based on the victim’s description to police – entered the home on the 300 block of 47th Place in the early morning of July 21.

The report says the suspects then tied up the victim, whose age and identity wasn’t given, and produced a handgun before they “ransacked” the home.

The report goes on to say that the victim’s father, who was apparently home at the time and unaware of the on-going situation, met with the suspects when they entered an upstairs bedroom, presumably where he was, causing them to flee the scene.

They left in an unknown vehicle, police said. There is no word on what, if anything, was stolen from the home, nor has there been information on an arrest.

The Cape May County Prosecutors Office along with the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit are assisting the Sea Isle Police in an ongoing investigation, the report said.
