Naming a home "Maison du Riviera" might seem a bit bombastic, but in this case, the estate completely earns the appellation — and the price tag.
This "maison" is a brand-new, custom-designed home on the Delaware River waterfront in New Hope. Everything was designed to take maximum advantage of that "magnificent view," said listing agent Jay Spaziano.
"From every window...you have up river views, you have down river views," he noted, adding that "they're quite strategic and well-thought-out."
Outside, the bluestone patio matches with the outdoor stone fireplace and grill. Inside, note architectural details like the coffered ceiling in the living room, which shares an open floor plan with a chef's kitchen that features a massive 12-foot island.
The home was built in the craftsmen style, meant to call up the architectural heritage of New Hope and be "harmonious with the little village." However, it's suited up with plenty of high-tech amenities to make it a modern "smart home," including: a security system with exterior night-vision cameras; radiant heat through the floor; high-efficiency spray foam insulation; full house backup generator; LED recessed lighting; and electronic, WiFi-enabled thermostats.
Another smart feature: The home is built above flood elevation and has a wall built against the river, so the Delaware will only be a source of joy, not flooding woes.
