Markelle Fultz sits courtside at Sixers game, says 'It would be cool' if they drafted him

Markelle Fultz's college team didn't play in the NCAA Tournament and his father hasn't made multiple appearances on "First Take," but the scoring guard from the University of Washington is considered the favorite to be the top overall pick in June's NBA Draft.

It remains to be seen if Fultz is indeed taken first overall when the draft rolls around, but he was at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night to watch the Sixers take on the Brooklyn Nets. And the reason for the visit is exactly what you might imagine: the Sixers could draft Fultz in a couple of months, so he wanted to check out the place.

"I might have a chance to go here, so I just want to come out and see how the play, the atmosphere," the Upper Marlboro, Maryland native told CSN Philly's John Clark in an interview.

"I could see it happening, it would be a great atmosphere, it would be cool," he later added.

If the Sixers were looking to make a good impression on Fultz, that certainly didn't happen. They played their worst game of the season, and are currently getting blown out by the bad Brooklyn Nets, 124-91 in the fourth quarter.

Then again, the loss could end up proving crucial to landing a player of Fultz's caliber.
