Eric Lindros was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame last year, and now one of the Big E’s former Flyers teammates will join him.
That would be Mark Recchi, who will be enshrined along with Teemu Selanne, Paul Kariya, Dave Andreychuk and Danielle Goyette at the induction ceremony in Toronto on November 13th.
Recchi, who played 22 years in the NHL, had two separate and successful stints with the Orange and Black (’92-’95, ’99-’04). During that second run, the Flyers reached the Eastern Conference Finals on two separate occasions. According to Flyers.com, Recchi’s 232 goals and 395 assists for 627 points in 602 games ranks eighth on the Flyers' all-time scoring list.
Recchi won three Stanley Cups during his career (’91 Pittsburgh, ’06 Carolina, ’11 Boston). Here are some of his best Flyers highlights:
