Police confirmed that a man was struck and killed by a subway train Sunday afternoon at the Tasker-Morris station on the Broad Street line.

NBC 10 reports that the incident occurred at 2:03 p.m. and involved a northbound train. Emergency crews responded and attempted to free the man, thought to be 30 years old, but he was pronounced dead by a medic at 2:19 p.m.

SEPTA's Broad Street line was running shuttle buses between AT&T station and Lombard South station due to police activity at the scene, but train service has now resumed. Trains in both directions will temporarily bypass Tasker-Morris, however.
