A man was injured Wednesday night after he was shot outside a Family Dollar in Delaware County, NBC10 reports.
The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the parking lot outside the store on the 1400 block of Chester Pike in Sharon Hill.
Police say two suspects approached a 35-year-old man who was inside his vehicle in the parking lot and announced a robbery.
The robbers allegedly struck the man in the head, opened fire and shot him in the torso before fleeing on foot.
The victim, whose condition has not been released, was taken to Taylor Hospital and then transferred to Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
The incident remains under investigation.
