A man is in critical condition after he was shot near a recreation center in Philadelphia's East Germantown section early Tuesday morning, 6ABC reports.
The incident occurred around midnight on the 1100 block of E. Chelten Ave. near the Lonnie Young Recreation Center.
A city employee who was cleaning the pool at the recreation center had seen the victim sitting on a bench outside. He reportedly heard a shot and discovered that the man had been hit in the back.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
The shooting remains under investigation.
