One man was killed and three people were injured Wednesday night after a SEPTA paratransit bus collided with a car in the Cobbs Creek section of West Philadelphia.
According to police, the crash occurred around 5:50 p.m. on Cobbs Creek Parkway after a 61-year-old man driving a 2004 Chrysler Sebring lost control of his car, crossing the northbound lane and crashing into a guardrail, NBC 10 reports.
After the initial accident, a Ford E350 SEPTA paratransit Connect Bus slammed into the passenger side of the Sebring.
The 61-year-old man, who has not been identified, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The SEPTA bus driver and two passengers were also taken to the hospital for observations and treatment of injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
