A man is recovering from minor injuries after falling off a bridge in St. Petersburg, Florida, while attempting to change a tire, ABC Action News reports.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 43-year-old Reginald D. White stopped his SUV on Interstate 275 Sunday night after a tire blew out.
As he attempted to change the tire, White lost his balance, stumbled backward and fell some 30 feet off the Sunshine Skyway Bridge into the water below.
White was rescued by officers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. His injuries were minor.
The SUV's two passengers were unharmed.
