Reginald Bell, 52, of Center City, was charged with murder and related offenses in the killing of a man who was stabbed in his chest at a SEPTA bus stop at Broad and Arch Streets, according to police.

Philadelphia police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of a man who was waiting on a Center City street corner for a bus in September.

Reginald Bell, 52, a resident of South Broad Street in Center City, was charged with murder and related offenses in the killing of William Vaughn, 47, of South 53rd Street about 6:40 a.m. on Sept. 24, 2015. Vaughn was stabbed in his chest at a SEPTA bus stop on the southeast corner of Broad and Arch Streets, and later died from his injuries.

On Nov. 23, 2015, SEPTA police officers conducted a pedestrian investigation on a suspect who was identified as Reginald Bell and appeared similar to a suspect in a patrol alert. Bell was taken into custody and charged in the stabbing incident.

On the date of the alleged attack, Bell had been last seen running on foot, northbound on Broad Street from Arch Street toward Race Street, police said. Prior to the stabbing the suspect had boarded a Broad Street Subway train at the Tasker / Morris Station, exiting at the Race / Vine Station.
