A Massachusetts man was charged Wednesday for his alleged connection in a string of robberies in the greater Philadelphia area.
Nicholas Casaburri, 34, was arrested in the Center City section of Philadelphia by federal marshals, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo announced Thursday.
Authorities have linked Casaburri to at least five robberies across Pennsylvania and New Jersey since August 31.
Casaburri was charged with two counts of first-degree armed robbery, one count of second-degree armed robbery, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and two counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose for the following three incidents in Camden County:
• Sept. 6, on College Drive in Blackwood
• Sept. 14, TD Bank on the Black Horse Pike in Bellmawr
• Sept. 14, BB&T Bank on the White Horse Pike in Lawnside
The FBI also believe the same suspect is responsible for another robbery in New Jersey on Aug. 31 at a TD Bank in Rockaway Township Morris County and one in Pennsylvania on Sept. 9 at a First National Bank in Bucks County.
Casaburri is currently being held without bail in Pennsylvania.
