Prosecutors say Frein is accused of shooting Cpl. Bryon Dickson outside of the Blooming Grove state police barracks on Sept. 8. Frein also shot and injured Trooper Alex T. Douglass. He then led more than 1,000 police officers on a seven-week chase through the Poconos wilderness that cost taxpayers about $11 million.
Police captured Frein on Oct. 30.
He is charged with terrorism and first-degree murder, among other charges. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
A Feb. 2 pre-trial conference is scheduled, although PennLive reported that the trial won't likely begin until next year.
