Another year, another weirdly eclectic Made in America festival on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This year we're looking at Sept. 3 and 4. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 22, at 10 a.m. via something called Tidal. As always, you can expect plenty of rap, rock, pop and Budweiser products. (Wait. I thought we were supposed to call it America. Would that mean this thing's called 'America Made in America'?) The lineup includes a few returning favorites, including 2 Chainz, Gary Clark Jr., Bud Light Lime, etc.
The highlights:
Rihanna (ooh could there be a Drake walk-on? hope not)
ColleGrove (aka 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne)
Coldplay (backup band at the Super Bowl half-time show)
Jamie xx (of The xx)
Chance The Rapper (a must-see)
Grimes (just here, always here)
Kacy Hill (Kanye's protegé, may need rescuing)
Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros
DJ Khaled (wait, he's not just a web hoax?)
Gary Clark Jr. (dazzling guitarist)
A$AP Ferg (one of the top two A$APs all time)
Cherry Glazerr (find them on whatever side stage they're stuck on)
Car Seat Headrest (so hot right now)
