Following a Super Bowl-winning finish and starting quarterback that was having an MVP-caliber season before his knee injury, how do the folks over at EA Sports view the Philadelphia Eagles and quarterback Carson Wentz?
For the upcoming Madden 19 game, the former is viewed quite highly. The overall team rankings for the new version of the game were leaked Monday, and the Eagles had the highest overall rating at 90.
The closest team after that? The Patriots, who came up short in the Super Bowl, with a rating of 84. So, Madden views the Birds as six points higher than the second-best team in the league.
But Wentz? Whether it was the injury or something else, his rating seems oddly low for a guy who threw 33 touchdowns in just 13 games.
USA Today got a hold of the quarterback ratings for Madden 19. Wentz was ranked ninth overall with an 85 rating. Here is the rest of the top 10, via USA Today:
1. Aaron Rodgers: 99 overall
2. Tom Brady: 97 overall
3. Drew Brees: 90 overall
4. Russell Wilson: 89 overall
5. Matt Ryan: 88 overall
T6. Ben Roethlisberger/Andrew Luck/Philip Rivers: 86 overall
9. Carson Wentz: 85 overall
10. Matthew Stafford: 83 overall
Hard to argue the high rankings for Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Wilson and Ryan. But at this point in their careers, Roethlisberger and Rivers over Wentz is very debatable, and Andrew Luck has just started throwing a football for the first time since October, as he sat out the entire 2017 season with an injury.

On the flip side, Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles had a 78 rating. So, the Eagles' backup quarterback had a better rating than Eli Manning (76) and Joe Flacco (77).
Gameplay footage that leaked appears to also show the highest rated players on each team. According to this video, for the Eagles, that list is as follows:
1. Malcolm Jenkins - 93
T2. Fletcher Cox, Jason Kelce, Brandon Graham - 92
T5. Jason Peters, Alshon Jeffery, Lane Johnson - 87
T8. Michael Bennett, Ronald Darby - 86
T10. Carson Wentz, Brandon Brooks, Jay Ajayi - 85
13. Nigel Bradham - 84
14. Nelson Agholor - 83
T15. Darren Sproles, Mike Wallace - 82
T17. Timmy Jernigan, Jordan Hicks - 81
T19. Chris Long, Jalen Mills, Rodney McLeod Jr. - 80
22. Haloti Nagta - 79
The biggest question here: Where the heck is Zach Ertz?
Finally, the footage shows the rankings for the Eagles' other two backup quarterbacks: Nate Sudfeld has a 63 rating, while Joe Callahan has a 58 rating.
Madden 19 will be released on Aug. 10. You can watch the first trailer for the game, released last week, below.
