UPDATE [4:10 p.m.] – And that's a wrap on the preseason. The Eagles close out with a 26-3 defeat to the Vikings that will be forgotten about quickly, but here are our takeaways from it:
• Handing out 10 awards from the Eagles-Vikings preseason game (Jimmy Kempski)
• Eagles vs. Vikings observations: Backup quarterback talk, who stood out and more from the loss (Shamus Clancy)
• Which key Eagles players hurt their stock in preseason finale? (Evan Macy)
• Eagles preseason game ball: Oren Burks, Ben Ben VanSumeren make sacks in otherwise forgettable finale (Nick Tricome)
Alright, that's done. On to final cuts and then Week 1 in Brazil.
EARLIER...
Who's excited to watch a bunch of guys in Philadelphia Eagles uniforms, most of whom won't be on the 53-man roster this season, play a game of football this afternoon? 🙋♂️
It's better than watching the Phillies lately. Here are the things I'll be watching:
- Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee will battle it out for the backup quarterback job.
- There are a bunch of bubble players fighting for the final four or five roster spots.
- Get one last look at some of the Birds' late round rookies before they go into hibernation.
- Will the Eagles try to showcase some players for trade bait?
- Can they Eagles go undefeated in the preseason? Should they?
Feel free to discuss the game below in the comments section below.
