The Phillies made a big splash on Thursday, acquiring All-Star catcher J.T. Realmuto from the Marlins in exchange for catcher Jorge Alfaro, top prospect Sixto Sanchez and fellow pitching prospect Will Stewart.
But the Phillies are not done just yet. At least they hope not.

With the two biggest free agents of the MLB offseason (Bryce Harper and Manny Machado, duh) still available with less than a week remaining before pitchers and catcher report, the Phillies are hoping to make one more, even bigger splash, before the 2019 season starts.
The #Phillies, who acquire JT Realmuto for catcher Jorge Alfaro, pitching prospects Sixto Sanchez and Will Stewart from the #Marlins, now have one more big move in mind. #Harper #Machado

Philadelphia #Phillies GM Matt Klentak, when asked if the JT Realmuto acquisition will have any impact on a certain couple of free agents: "This doesn’t take us out of the free-agent market by any stretch.'' #Harper #Machado

Or, perhaps, two huge splashes, which might ultimately lead to a tsunami engulfing the city of Philadelphia.
Keep you in mind #Phillies owner talked about spending “stupid money” and with all done haven’t spent that yet. there’s a scenario in which still get Harper AND Machado. I don’t expect it - still think 1 or the other - but think about how crazy that is a week into February.

Sure, that last one seems like an impossible pipe dream, but hey, what's wrong with dreaming? After all, Gabe Kapler seems to (correctly) believe these move are an indication that the Phillies are in "win-right-now mode".
