Maintenance work will close the southbound lanes of Lincoln Drive beginning Thursday evening, according to the city Streets Department.
Inbound lanes will be closed between Wissahickon Avenue and Ridge Avenue/Kelly Drive from 7 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, officials said.
Southbound Lincoln Drive traffic will be detoured at Wissahickon Avenue. Signs will be posted along Wissahickon Avenue, Walnut Lane and Ridge Avenue to direct traffic to the end of the closure.
Northbound traffic will not be affected.
This work is scheduled for nighttime hours in order to expedite repairs, minimize disruption to motorists, residents, and businesses, and provide a safe work environment for the workers, the Streets Department said. Police will be on call to help maintain a safe traffic flow in the area.
Work will be completed and lanes reopened by 5 a.m. for the morning rush hour, the department said.
