Leah Still had a song in her heart after receiving some good news on Friday.
The 5-year-old daughter of NFL player and Camden, New Jersey native Devon Still who has battled a rare form of cancer for more than a year was told by doctors that she would be allowed to leave the hospital Monday.
Devon, a Penn State grad who plays for the Cincinnati Bengals, announced the news on his Instagram page Friday. Sporting a blue wig to compliment her father's flashing eyewear, Leah sings "I'm going home" in the video after Devon asks her about the news.
Leah had experienced a setback in her treatment in May when she was diagnosed with a liver complication. She had been told in March that her cancer was in remission.
The two have inspired many with their charitable work since Leah's diagnosis, most recently donating more than $140,000 gathered from a pledge campaign that was based on the amount of sacks Devon recorded last season to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where Leah has been receiving treatment.
Both are to be honored with an ESPY award for perseverance in July, however Devon was unsure if his daughter could make the trip to Los Angeles with him to receive it due to her condition.
