The National Weather Service has upped expected snowfall totals and extended its winter weather advisory through 10 p.m. Friday for eastern Pennsylvania, parts of southern and central New Jersey and northern Delaware.
The snow, which started as light snow early this morning and became heavy most of the day, changed to a light sleet in the city just after 6 p.m.
Snow accumulations varied greatly depending on where you live. Locations in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties picked up the most snow.
Observed snowfall amounts recorded by the weather service are below:
Town/County | Snow (inches) | Observed time |
Media, Delaware County | 6.1 | 5:49 p.m. |
Warwick Township, Bucks County | 6.0 | 4:46 p.m. |
