Bruce Springsteen wasn’t the only veteran rocker kicking Philly’s ass Wednesday night. In support of his “Out on a Limb” tour, Steven Tyler brought his newfound country groove to a packed Tower Theater — although he still remained true to his Aerosmith roots.
“We're All Somebody from Somewhere,” — the first solo record in Tyler’s 40+ years in the biz — hit No. 1 on Billboard’s country music chart in August, so he’s sort of a crossover artist now, I guess?
Images of prairies and other Western-ish visuals were projected on the screens beforehand, but Tyler elected to kick things off with two Aerosmith songs. And that’s how the evening went, classic hits alongside his solo songs, backed by his touring band Loving Mary.
