If you're not a cat person -- and it's totally fine if you aren't -- then Saturday night may not be the best time to make a trip out Lakewood to catch a BlueClaws game.
But if you are, tell your furry roommate to clean up the litter box and pack some of his/her favorite toys.
That's because over the weekend, the Phillies' single-A affiliate will host CATurday Night at FirstEnergy Park and will be allowing fans to bring their kitties (for an addition $2 charge) out to enjoy their game against the West Virginia Power. More importantly, they'll be wearing these incredible jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game with the proceeds going to charity.
Here's more on the promotion from the BlueClaws website:
Fans are encouraged to bring their cats to the game (will need to sign a waiver and be in a case or on a leash and cats are admitted with a $2 Paw Pass). There will be songs, movie clips, promotions, memes, and more fun as well!
There will be a special guest appearance by Miss Kitty. The speciality drink "The Black Cat Cocktail" will be available in the Coors Light WRAT Trap. There will be a special rendition of Take MEOW Out to the Ballgame, and a special CATurday T-Shirt will be available in the Claws Cove.
SAVE Rescue Shelter of Toms River will be here as well. They will be collecting donations of products for a Cat supply drive and they will have cats here for adoption.
You can but tickets online, here.
