A Nickelodeon favorite – "Double Dare" – is making a comeback and bringing along former Nick stars with it. Kenan Thompson, seasoned veteran of Saturday Night Live, will soon be sharing the screen with his former co-star, Kel Mitchell.
The two, who were famous for their roles on “Kenan and Kel” and “All That,” reunite on the newly minted reboot. What’s more, “All That” veteran Lori Beth Denberg will also be there.
“I am so excited to play on ‘Double Dare’ and for a whole new generation of kids to experience this iconic game show,” Mitchell told Entertainment Weekly.
“This episode will be double special because Kenan and I will be playing against each other and we are both huge fans of ‘Double Dare’!”
Mitchell also appeared at this year’s Philadelphia Comic Con promoting "Game Shakers," a Nickelodeon show in which he plays the character Double G.
They’ve reunited before, in 2015, to revive “Good Burger” a sketch on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and again with “All That” cast members Denberg and Josh Server back in February on Nick Cannon’s “Wild ’n Out.”
Will Mitchell be slimed by orange soda? Will Denberg drop some "vital information?" Will Thompson have a really great idea that Mitchell thinks is a bad idea? The “Double Dare” reboot began airing on June 25, and while no official date has been announced for the "Kenan and Kel" reunion, Nick will be airing the episode later in the summer.
