Former youth football coach Leon Watson was convicted Thursday by a Philadelphia Common Pleas Court jury of sexually assaulting five boys ages 8 through 10 as well as a 21-year-old disabled man.
Watson, 25, was convicted on 16 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, indecent assault and other related offenses, according to Philly.com.
The jury needed less than three hours to convict Watson, who developed a relationship with the boys while volunteering as an assistant coach on several area youth teams.
Watson is scheduled for sentencing on May 1.
