We know this is a sore subject for Philadelphians after the great water slide debacle of 2016, but this here sounds pretty legit and if it does fall through, you won't have to be upset with your own city.
Just to recap: Last year, Salt Lake City-based Slide the City was supposed to bring its 1,000-foot touring water slide to Fairmount Park, primarily for the benefit of underprivileged children.

The company put out a "premature" press release in May, well before many in Philadelphia's government even knew of the planned August event. Slide the City never obtained the permits to bring the slide here, so they argued with the city, it got ugly and everything quickly fell apart.
That's not what this is going to be. This year's jumbo water slide, the Trippo Supreme, is coming to Atlantic City from May 22 to June 1 — and at other local spots until Sept. 5 — for an event hosted by Regals Entertainment. We've got a Facebook event page to prove it.
The 175-foot inflatable slide will be positioned right on the beachfront outside Tropicana.
Take a look at it here. It's not as big as the one stolen from Philly last year (actually, it's not even close) but it's still going to be pretty cool, maybe.
