The Eagles have a lot of players going to the Pro Bowl this year for a team that was not good enough to make the playoffs. That number is up to eight, after wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and long snapper Jon Dorenbos were added to the roster.
The list of Eagles Pro Bowlers are to the right. With Dorenbos' addition, the Eagles now have three special teams players headed to the Pro Bowl (an argument could be made for Chris Maragos as well), which makes sense seeing as they had the best special teams units in the NFL in 2014.Maclin had a breakout season, catching 85 passes for 1318 yards and 10 TDs. He was among the top 15 WRs in the NFL in receptions, yards, TDs, yards per catch, receptions of 20+ yards, yards after the catch, and catches resulting in a first down.
A ninth Eagle, LeSean McCoy, was also named to the Pro Bowl, but he will not participate due to an "injury." Shady wasn't exactly the most enthusiastic blocker in the Pro Bowl last year:
