On Saturday, July 29, the third Jazz Age on the Delaware will take place at Glen Foerd Mansion, a historic riverfront estate and mansion from the Gilded Age.
The annual event invites all to dress in their best 1920s garb and attend a swanky party with plenty of gin, dancing and live performances.
“Guests will come as close as they’ll ever get to an era where it seemed as though good times would never end," executive director Meg Sharp Walton stated.
The full schedule of activities includes dance lessons, live swing and jazz music, live dance performances, circus acts, 1920s make-up how-to's, a pie baking contest, a fashion contest, lawn games and a chance to see vintage cars and motorcycles up-close.
Attendees are invited to pack a picnic and bring a blanket to enjoy a meal on the estate grounds, or purchase treats from D’Emilio’s Old World Ice Treats, Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Wahlburgers and My Four Suns.
To drink, there will be beer from Saint Benjamin's Brewing Co., cocktails from Blue Coat American Dry Gin and non-alcoholic beverages from Honest Tea.
Vendors selling 1920s-inspired merchandise will be on-site, too, for shoppers.
General admission tickets for Jazz Age on the Delaware are $48 per person. Children 12 and under can attend for free.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the development of a new boat and bike program at Glen Foerd.
If it rains, the event will be held on Sunday, July 30.
