A Horsham man will spend anywhere from three to 23 months in prison after he was sentenced Thursday for indecent contact with a 10-year-old boy.
Kyle Matthew Simon, 23, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of indecent assault without consent and corruption of a minor in connection with a 2012 incident in which the victim was under his supervision at a residence on the 600 block of Lower State Road.
After accepting the plea agreement, Montgomery County Judge Todd D. Eisenberg ordered Simon to report to jail on April 14, according to The Times Herald. As long as he meets certain conditions, he will be able to serve the minimum sentence during weekly Sunday through Thursday periods.
Simon's abuse came under investigation in 2014 when the victim reportedly told his family about what happened to him in December 2012. Court documents show that Simon allegedly convinced the boy to show him his genitals, after which he inappropriately touched the boy and photographed him with his cell phone.
Judge Eisenberg ordered Simon to undergo a psychosexual evaluation and complete 60 hours of community service. The sentence also calls for five years of probation and a requirement that Simon report his address to state police for a specified period of time.
