The latest bringer of hot takes to Sixers Twitter is @HighIQHoops, a self-proclaimed author and "Basketball Recruitment/Scholarship Specialist." He made some noise among the team's writers and well-followed fans this past week for his, um, interesting thoughts on everyone from Joel Embiid (soft) to Jahlil Okafor (only player on the roster with championship pedigree) to Ben Simmons (not a point guard).
@HighIQHoops is not the first — and certainly not the last – hot take artist to circumvent legitimate criticism for takes so scolding you could fry an egg on them. He is, however, the first person to offer up a take so hot that I felt it necessary to highlight it in all its glory.
Here it is – comparing Brett Brown to Donald Trump. Bask in it.
The only other perpetrator/leader to consistently fail and still benefit like Brett Brown is Donald Trump. American politics and the Sixers team dynamics are both CLUSTERFUCKED, because of its unqualified leadership. pic.twitter.com/geO1oYU802

Some of you may be thinking @HighIQHoops' tweets are intentional trolling, and that he doesn't actually believe what he's writing, but takes pleasure in riling up Sixers fans on Twitter. To that, I direct you to the recent "Takehunter" video from Bill Simmons' website, The Ringer.
The video is a parody of the new Netflix show "Mindhunter," in which two FBI agents interview serial killers to learn more about them. In "Takehunter," The Ringer's staff instead interviews people with very hot takes.
It's brilliant satire with one undeniable truth about controversial sports opinions:
"It's not about whether or not I actually think that, that's what you all don't understand. It doesn't matter whether or not I think it's true, it matters whether or not you think I think it's true. And everyone on the internet is very, very stupid. They want to be upset, and I fulfill that for them. I make their dreams come true. They get to be mad, at me. What a gift."
@HighIQHoops, whose account has since been restricted because of "unusual activity," compared Brett Brown to Donald Trump. What a gift.
