Brennon Jones, the local barber who set out on a mission to cut hair for the homeless in Philadelphia just six months ago, is taking his show on the road.
The 29-year-old Chester native announced Thursday that he’ll visit six cities between July 2 and Aug. 8.

It's a continuation of his effort “to provide something different than some change or a couple dollars” to homeless people often ignored by passersby.
“We based the cities on feedback from supporters who said there are places we should go,” Jones explained Friday morning.
“We’ll have a traveling team of six or seven local barbers," he continued. "We’re not using GoFundMe, since that didn’t go well last time. We’re funding it out of our own pockets.”
He knows full well that “it’s going to be pretty costly with travel and hotels,” but he’s been saving up.
“When you’re on a mission, you don’t let anything stop you, especially finances,” he said, noting that Maestro’s Classic has signed on as a co-sponsor for a tour that officially started in Chester late last month. “It’s going to be incredible.”
