As families across the country continue to cope with the hardships of the COVID-19 crisis, my family and I continue to search for ways to give back to those who make sacrifices for our health and safety.

Last month, Greg Englesbe Real Estate Consulting contributed to a donation of 2,000 face masks to the New York City Police Foundation. We wanted to show our support for the men and women who are protecting New York City during a time of unprecedented challenges.

This month, we teamed up to make a $10,000 donation to the First Responders Children’s Foundation.

For nearly 20 years, this organization has awarded college scholarships to children who lost a first responder parent in the line of duty. The organization also provides resources to families experiencing financial hardship.

In the midst of the pandemic, first line responders are more critical than ever to the fabric of our society. Even when they are needed the most, many of them struggle to make ends meet, finding themselves vulnerable to illness as they perform their essential functions.

The First Responders Children’s Foundation ensures that the children of these front line workers don’t face deprivation while their parents put themselves in harm’s way for the greater good.

While the country begins to move toward reopening, it’s important to remember how many families will continue to struggle from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

Now is not the time to forget these families or to assume that life will swiftly return to normal. Helping these families weather the difficult landscape ahead is a worthy cause and one that Greg Englesbe Real Estate Consulting is proud to support.
