The GREEN Program, a sustainability and renewable energy education program that combines internship opportunities with study abroad experiences, is celebrating youth leaders with a special event on April 9.

GREEN helps students connect with green initiatives and organizations to facilitate the next generation of socially responsible and eco-conscious workers. Thus far they've helped inspire over 1,200 students to engage with their environment on experiential educational trips in Peru, Iceland and Philadelphia.

Their Emerging Sustainability Leaders Soiree will bring together these alumni and organizations with similar values in hopes of making career connections. The night will include networking, exhibits, seminars and presentations. DJ Royale will provide music.

A number of thought leaders will speak at the soiree, including Priyanka Bayaka, CEO and founder of PK Clean, which turns discarded plastics into fuel. Megan Maltenfort, the Sustainability Manager for VWR International, LLC, and Dan Conner, of Energy and Sustainability Group at Integrated Project Services (IPS), will also speak.

STEM-related and sustainability-focused companies and brands are encouraged to attend and find their next great hire.
