Politico reports New Jersey Republican Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli has publicly shared his opinion regarding Governor Chris Christie’s endorsement and support of Donald Trump's presidential run, noting his concern on whether Christie's attention elsewhere could hinder the Garden State.

“This endorsement concerns me in that it could mean he’ll be out of state a great deal again,” the Politico piece quotes the third-term Republican from Somerset County as saying.
“If that’s the case, it’s time for him to really give consideration for what’s in the best interests of New Jersey and step down and let [Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno] be governor.”
It has not been officially made known how much time — if any — Christie will spend out of state campaigning on behalf of Trump.
Ciattarelli, who is weighing a bid for governor in 2017, has alluded to not fully backing Trump, but has said he will do everything in his power to aid in his success if he's elected.
“But that’s my position on anyone who becomes president of the United States. My country comes first,” he said.
