Michael Schulson’s Giuseppe & Sons will now offer aperitivo (that's happy hour for all us non-Italians) at the upstairs bar from 3 p.m. to close daily, and the deals are good. Everything's between $2 and $7.
The Italian restaurant, a collaboration with the Termini Brothers Bakery family, opened late last year in Center City.
During aperitivo, bites will line the upstairs counter – where Termini pastries are encased during the day – and guests can order per piece. The snacks, $2-$4, include tomato pie, garlic knots, olives, focaccia, crostini, cheese, cured meat and more.
From the bar, guests can order spritzes, wines by the glass, Peroni beer and multiple variations on the Negroni cocktail, created by beverage manager Jefferson Oatts.
