Get to know Philly's zine scene at local festival

Gathering celebrates city's top mini mags

Zines, the miniature or shortened magazines often made by hand or produced in small presses, are still a thriving industry. Philadelphia itself has a happily churning zine scene, so much so that the Philly Zine Fest is coming to the Rotunda Sunday, Aug. 30.

More than three dozen different zine exhibitors will be attending the festival at the Rotunda in University City, trading, buying and selling zines. Black Lives Matter Philly, Philly Secret Admirer, Philly Survivor Support Collective, Permanent Wave Philly and independent publishing center The Soapbox will all be represented.

Don't miss the chance to show off your independent works and mingle with fellow writers and zine publishers. See the complete list of exhibitors here
