Buena Onda, which translates as 'good vibes', is set to open on Monday, March 16, according to PhillyMag.com. The casual restaurant, complete with a liquor license, features beachside staples of the Baja peninsula and will be housed in the Granary building on the 1900 block of Callowhill Street.
The fish at Buena Onda is sustainably sourced and the restaurant will compost and recycle its materials. Additionally, 50 cents will be donated to the Garces Foundation from every purchase of guacamole and bottled water.
The wintertime may not be going down without a fight, but a few drinks in this Latin-themed newcomer will quickly wash back memories of the snow and ice.
