During Space Saturdays, museum attendees can safely look at the sun, catch a live show detailing how scientists learn about space and discover what an astronaut needs when working on the International Space Station.
Kids under the age of 8 can play in the Young Scientists Area, where there will be space-themed story time and LEGO building challenges.
The Summer of Space program also includes a show in the planetarium (beginning in July), stargazing events on select dates and workshops on 3-D printing in space.
