This weekend, the Philadelphia's Franklin Institute is offering free admission to federal employees. The deal extends to all eligible workers impacted by the partial government shutdown, plus three guests.
Wednesday marks day 19 of the shutdown. The longest in U.S. history is 21 days.

According to the New York Times, the shutdown is affecting 800,000 federal employees.
At the Franklin Institute, visitors will be asked to show their government ID at the museum ticketing desk on Saturday and Sunday to receive free admission.
The science museum includes exhibits on the brain, space, electricity, sports and more. Admission to the special exhibit "Vikings: Beyond the Legend" and all IMAX films will be a separate fee.
Normally, general admission to the Franklin Institute is $23 for adults and $19 for children. The museum is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
