In the wake of Donald Trump's decision to rescind his invitation to "The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team" to visit the White House, FOX News is predictably painting the Eagles' protests in a misleading way.
In the following video, they depict Zach Ertz, Corey Clement, Jordan Matthews (who wasn't even on the team last season), and Trey Burton as having knelt during the anthem. In reality, these were pictures that were taken at other times during pregame warmups, and not at all during the anthem.
Ertz himself took exception to being used as a political prop.
Why stop there, FOX? Here are some more Eagles players, past and present, who disrespected the anthem.
Fox News issued an apology after the fact, but the damage was clearly done.
It's confirmed. The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team hates the troops, America, and freedom, and should all be deported immediately.
