The Franklin Fountain and Quaker City Malting Co. are making boozy ice cream floats, cocktails and ice cream sundaes for Fourth of July weekend.

To kick off Fourth of July weekend, the Museum of the American Revolution's Cross Keys Café will serve boozy ice cream floats on Saturday, July 1, during happy hour from 5-7 p.m.

Boozy ice cream floats, cocktails and ice cream sundaes will be made with Franklin Fountain ice cream and Quaker City Malting Co. beverages. QC Malt describes its drinks as a mix between a cider and a beer.

Guests can take the sweet treats outside to the café's terrace on Third Street.

Those in the neighborhood at 1 p.m. on the following day, July 2, can stop by for even more dessert. Visitors will be given birthday cake to celebrate the date that the Continental Congress declared independence from Great Britain. This year marks the country's 241st birthday.

The Museum of the American Revolution will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the month of July. General admission is $19 for adults. A museum ticket is not required to enjoy the Cross Keys Café.
