Fourteen people were arrested after officials in Monmouth County, New Jersey say they broke up a heroin ring following an 8-month investigation in the Bayshore Region.

According to NBC 10, officials working on the "Operation Family Tide" sting recovered 8,100 bags of heroin packaged for sale, in addition to 4 ounces of raw heroin, 5 ounces of cocaine, and three cars used for drug distribution.
Several of those arrested are members of the same family, according to officials.
The drug ring allegedly sold heroin almost daily from Monmouth and Middlesex Counties, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni, via an original report from NJ.com.
