Former defensive end Justin Tuck will be in Philly quite often in the near future. But don't worry Eagles fans, he won't be terrorizing Sam Bradford whoever the birds' starting quarterback is this season.
Instead, the retired New York Giants player will be heading back to school. He'll be attending the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business for his MBA. Per NJ.com:
"They say retire. I'm not retiring. I normally wouldn't talk about this here but the reason I don't call it retirement, one of the reasons I don't call it retirement, is because I decided to take my talents to a city a little south of here, down [Route I-] 95.
"Yes, I'm talking about Philadelphia. If you think for a moment I'm talking about Philadelphia, that green team, you should be ashamed of yourself. What I'm talking about is I got into [the University of Pennsylvania's] Wharton [business school]. And I'm going to get my MBA."
Tuck, 33, still keeps a house in the area. Philadelphia is a two-hour drive. If that's what it takes to advance in his second career, he's going to do it. The same type of work ethic and desire to succeed that led him to success on the football field is what he plans to employ during his post-playing career.
Tuck graduated from Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business with a degree in management in 2005. Now, it looks like the two-time Super Bowl champion will be attempting to take the next step in his business career.
Depending on how Carson Wentz works out, there might soon be an upper management opening in South Philly.
