Former Eagles ‘Dream Team’ QB Vince Young arrested on DWI charge

Former Eagles quarterback Vince Young was arrested Sunday night in Austin, Texas and charged with driving while intoxicated, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Young led Texas to the 2006 BCS National Championship and was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Titans. He was voted the Offensive Rookie of the Year but his career stalled after that initial success.

He spent his final season in 2011 as a backup on the Eagles, famously calling the Birds a “Dream Team” following his signing as well as those of Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and others.

The Eagles finished 8-8 that season and Young and the Eagles were mocked for the quote.

Young has had financial problems in recent years, reportedly filing for bankruptcy in 2014.
