While the current Flyers are on summer break (and the rest of the NHL has lost its mind with blockbuster trades), future members of the Orange and Black will be descending upon Skate Zone in Voorhees next week.
Ivan Provorov, Travis Konecny, Travis Sanheim, and Samuel Morin are among the 34 prospects taking part in the 2016 Flyers development camp from Thursday, July 7th to Monday, July 11th. The team’s annual Trial on the Isle will then take place July 12th in Stone Harbor.
All of the practice sessions are open to the public like always, and from the 7th to the 10th, the schedule will be the same: Goalies will be on the ice for their own workouts from 8:30-10:15 AM and 4:00-4:45 PM, and then the skaters will be on the ice from 10:00-11:45 AM and 4:30-6:15 PM.
Not attending the camp will be the 22nd overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, center German Rubtsov. The nine other Flyers selections from last week’s draft — Including second rounders Pascal Laberge, Carter Hart, and Wade Allison — will be on hand, though.
PhillyVoice will be there for at least a couple of days to provide coverage, so make sure to check back as we catch up with some future Flyers.
