A two-alarm fire ripped through the Moorestown Community House Tuesday evening.

News of the blaze quickly spread through the tight-knit South Jersey town, with concerned locals rushing to the scene of the "beloved" South Jersey landmark, according to 6ABC, and others taking to the Moorestown Community House Facebook page to shares updates and concerns.
A note posted on the Facebook page said the fire damage appeared to have been contained to an upstairs room in the building, with the ballroom and garden room (where weddings and social gatherings are held) apparently not sustaining serious damage.
Facebook administrators also vowed to repair the building quickly and efficiently.
"The town worked together to build this amazing building back in 1926, and together, I know we can handle any challenge that comes our way," the post said.
