Federal law enforcement officials are investigating at least ten false phone threats that disrupted both domestic and international air flights on Memorial Day.
According to NBC News, a male caller made the threats during calls to local police across the nation.
Two F-15 military jets escorted an Air France flight into New York as a precaution, after air controllers couldn't easily reach the flight. After landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a security team inspected the plane but nothing was found.
Other calls indicated passengers or crews were poisoned on various planes, but no incidents were reported, officials said.
CNN is reporting the flights affected including planes landing in Newark and Atlanta, among others.
