Federal Donuts & Chicken is continuing its expansion into the Philadelphia suburbs with the opening of its Willow Grove store Friday.
The store at 4021 Welsh Road has seating for 12 people, with tables and bar stools available. It will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Federal Donuts began planning its suburban expansion in 2022 after receiving an investment from Radnor's NewSpring Franchise. Its first suburban store opened last September in Radnor. Additional shops are slated to open later this year in Conshohocken and at the Philadelphia International Airport. The chain's first South Jersey shop is coming to Marlton this year, too.
"It has always been a dream to grow Federal Donuts & Chicken out of our amazing city and into the suburbs of Philadelphia," co-founder Michael Solomonov said in a statement. "We hope our new Willow Grove shop is a place where folks can bring their loved ones for a delicious slice of comfort at any time of day."
The Willow Grove store offers a full coffee and espresso menu from La Colombe, breakfast sandwiches, hash browns and treats like the FedNuts Minis donut holes and Fried Chicken Sandwich Sliders. Its expanded Classic Donut lineup — specialty cake old-fashioned, vanilla bean sprinkle and powdered sugar — will be available daily.
On opening day, the chain's rotating offering will be chocolate churro, lemon ricotta and mocha latte Fancy Donuts. Plus, the first 100 customers can nab a free T-shirt with a purchase. Throughout the first weekend, customers will receive complimentary cups of FedNuts Minis.
