Breakfast with Founding Father George Washington

The Museum of the American Revolution is hosting a Father's Day brunch on Saturday, June 16. There will be two seatings: 10 a.m. or 11 a.m.

Guests can hang out with a George Washington historical interpreter and enjoy a breakfast buffet of muffins, pastries and mini-quiches, courtesy of Brûlée Catering, in the museum's Liberty Hall.

After breakfast, guests are encouraged to view Washington’s war tent in the museum.

For the dad who likes rock 'n' roll...

Music of the Grateful Dead for Kids – Father's Day Show

On Father's Day, there will be a kid-friendly concert covering the music of The Grateful Dead at the Ardmore Music Hall. Dads can spend the afternoon rockin' out with their young kids or grandkids.

The concert will start at 2:30 p.m., with doors opening a half-hour before the show. Admission is $15.

Beef & Beer at Hungry Pigeon

Hungry Pigeon is teaming up with Tired Hands Brewing for Father's Day.

Expect a beef-centric menu with steak tartare, roast beef sandwiches and, starting at 4 p.m., a full prime-rib dinner. To drink, there will be a selection of unique brews from Tired Hands.

The restaurant isn't taking reservations. First come, first served.

Brews & Bites

The day before Father's Day, there will be a beer festival at Pennsbury Manor, William Penn's 17th century country estate along the Delaware River.

Dads who love trying new brews will have the opportunity to sample a variety of craft beers. 

A general admission ticket ($40) includes four hours of tastings and a souvenir glass. VIP and designated driver tickets are also available.

Pops, Pints and Pups

Philly's Porta, a Neapolitan pizzeria, is hosting an event supporting the Pennsylvania SPCA on Saturday, June 16. 

PSPCA will bring adoptable dogs to play with outside the restaurant (and maybe Dad will find a new furry best friend).

Inside, there will be $2 Walt Wit pints from Philadelphia Brewing Co., as well as mimosa and cocktail specials.

There will also be live music, starting at noon.
