A 21-year-old man was shot and killed in front of his father Sunday night in the Logan section of Philadelphia, 6ABC reports.
The shooting occurred at 11:15 p.m. at Wingohocking and Lawrence streets. Responding officers found the victim, who had been shot in the face, lying unconscious in the street.
According to investigators, the victim's father chased the gunman down the block after the shooting. The suspect opened fire on the man but missed him.
The gunman then fled south on 4th Street in a black Toyota.
"We believe that the 21-year-old was an intended target," Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told 6ABC. "Right where the 21-year-old victim collapsed after being shot in the face, we found a spent shell casing just feet from his body."
