All lanes of I-495 at U.S. 13 in New Castle, Delaware have reopened after a fatal crash killed one person and injured four others Thursday morning, Delaware State Police said.
The crash, which involved two vehicles, one of which overturned, occurred at 7:06 a.m. on southbound I-495 south of U.S. 13.
According to police, one person died as a result of the crash, while four others sustained injuries and have been transported to Christiana Hospital for treatment. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
All lanes of southbound I-495 in the area were closed, and traffic was being diverted onto U.S. 13.
The crash remains under investigation.
