There was a lot of carnage in Week 6, both with undefeated teams losing and top tier fantasy stars going down with injuries.
Here's the latest on some of the biggest names with that red cross next to their names:
Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers
The No. 1 pick in most fantasy drafts left San Francisco's loss after trying to play through some pain and did not return. A combination oblique and rib injury is the culprit and we'll have to see if he is back on the field for Week 7. Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell are fantasy relevant if he is not on the field.
Deebo Samuel, WR, 49ers
One of the biggest reasons for the Niners' first loss Sunday is that they lost both McCaffrey and Samuel. Samuel's shoulder injury tested negative for a broken bone but an MRI will show the full extent in the next few days.
Justin Fields, QB, Bears
After a recent resurgence that had fantasy managers of Fields feeling validated, the run-happy QB dislocated his thumb on his throwing hand in Week 6. An MRI will tell us more Monday, but Nathan Peterman or rookie Tyson Bagent will be the starter if Fields misses time.
Kyren Williams, RB, Rams
This year's cinderella RB is Williams, who tweaked his ankle at the end of the most recent Rams game after yet another breakout performance. The setback is thought to be minor and he could be back for Week 7.
David Montgomery, RB, Lions
With rookie Jahmyr Gibbs already out, Montgomery left the Lions' win with a rib injury and did not return. Craig Reynolds picked up the slack at RB and will be a hot waiver pick up if Gibbs and Montgomery both miss next week's action.
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars
Lawrence has bruising on his knee that he sustained in Jacksonville's blowout win. With a short week ahead, his status will be one to monitor. C.J. Beathard is the backup.
Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Raiders
Against his old team, Jimmy G hurt his back so badly he had to be admitted to the hospital. Look for Brian Hoyer to suit up next week and possibly going forward.
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Titans
And another QB — Tannehill — was knocked out Sunday, this one with an ankle setback. He was seen leaving on crutches and an MRI is scheduled for Monday.
